These are pictures from Vic Tatelman's collection of his 2 Air Apaches planes 'Dirty Dora' and 'Dirty Dora II'. Both were assigned to the "Bats Outa Hell" 499th Bomb Squadron of the 345th Bomb Group.
Those depicted are Victor Bright, Max Ferguson, Willie Graham, William
Kemerling, Gordon King, Bill Parke, Herman Quinius, Dick Rizzo, Perry
Scott and Norm Walker.
The first section has photos of the original Dirty Dora. Captions were supplied by Capt. Tatelman.

Here are his photos of Dirty Dora II.
The Air Apaches were given the honor of escorting the 2 Japanese Betty bombers on the Surrender Mission from Kyushu to Ie Shima. Vic Tatelman was co-pilot in the 499th Bomb Squadron's B-25J Betty's Dream. Note the 2 Japanese bombers can be distinguished by the nose glazing and one is missing the last half of its tail glazing. These are images from Vic Tatelman's collection.

the Korean War Capt. Tatelman transitioned to jet fighters. Here
he is about 1952 learning the ropes of the F-86.
